Overview

This course walks you through the steps of the wing structure project. Walking through the steps before you perform them lets you know what to expect when you get to the hands-on portion of your training.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

• Describe the tools used to install fasteners in a wing structure
• Explain the difference between a fixture, jig, and template
• Describe how a rivet shaver works
• Mark the hole locations
• Drill pilot holes
• Countersink and counterbore holes
• Install Hi-Loks, lockbolts, protruding head rivets, and fluid-tight rivets
• Shave the heads of fluid-tight rivets
