Overview
A blueprint, or engineering drawing, is the primary means of communicating the requirements of a product to all those involved in the manufacturing or building of a product. This course will help you to understand how to read and interpret a blueprint, which is a universal skill that is used in almost every industry.
By the end of this course, you will be able to
- Understand the purposes of blueprints
- Describe methods of creating a blueprint
- Recognize and identify lines, shapes, and angles used in blueprints
- Understand how to visually interpret product illustrations
- Identify each type of line used in a blueprint and explain the function of each
- Describe the function of dimensions and tolerances on a blueprint
