Overview
In this course, you will learn about the improve and control portions of the DMAIC continuous improvement model. The improve portion provides the Six Sigma team with the opportunity to reduce the effect of the few critical inputs with statistical and practical significance that were identified in the analyze phase. The control plan is a 'living' document that is continually updated to capture continuing improvements.
By the end of this course, you will be able to
- Identify the terms associated with the design of experiments
- Interpret the main effects a factor has on a process
- Understand that statistical process control is a methodology that utilizes statistics to reduce and control variation in processes
- Understand variable and attribute control charts and their analysis
- Understand the importance of the control plan
- Identify the documents that comprise a dynamic control plan
