Overview

In this course, you will learn about the define portion of the DMAIC continuous improvement model. The define portion provides the information and tools necessary to identify the issue causing decreased customer satisfaction and ensures the project will be a value-added activity.

By the end of this course, you will be able to

• Understand the elements of a process and how to identify its boundaries
• Explain methods for identifying customers, collecting customer data, and analyzing customer data
• Understand the project charter and the information it contains
• Understand risk analysis and its benefits to Six Sigma projects
• Identify some of the tools used for project management and planning, and how these tools are used
• Define business results
• Identify some of the tools used to measure the performance of a project or process
